Reaching the editorial desk
This page explains what belongs in a message to the desk, what the desk does with a correction, and what it cannot take on. The address is editor@tolaledgerpk.pages.dev and it reaches the people who read the sources and republish the figures.

What is worth writing about
A message is worth writing when it concerns the measurement itself: a figure that looks wrong, a source that has moved or closed, a question about how the measurement is taken, or a correction. The desk reads every message that comes to the address on this page, and it reads them itself. The desk checks each claim against the named public sources before anything is changed. If a reader has seen a different figure from the same source at the same hour, that is exactly the kind of message the desk wants. The desk does not need praise, and it does not need general complaints about the price of gold.
A source that has moved means an official page whose address has changed, or a publisher that no longer issues the figure. A source that has closed means the figure is no longer published at all. In either case, the desk wants to know, because every figure on this site is read from a named public source and republished with the date and the hour it was read. If the source is gone, the figure cannot stand. The desk will then look for the same measurement from the same kind of source, or it will take the figure down until it can be checked again. A reader who reports a dead link has saved the next reader from a figure that cannot be verified.
A figure that looks wrong is the most important message of all. The Karachi Saraf Jewellers Association fixes the 24 karat tola rate, and every other row below it is that rate multiplied out, exactly as the sarafa itself does it. If a reader believes a multiplication is wrong, the desk will redo it against the source and correct it if it is wrong. If a reader believes the source itself has published a wrong figure, the desk will check the source again at the next possible hour and republish what it finds. The desk does not argue with the source, and it does not substitute its own view. The figure on this site is what the source said at the hour the desk read it, and that is what a reader can check.
How a correction is handled
When a correction is needed, the desk changes the figure on the page and adds a dated note to the table. The note says what was changed and when. The desk does not hide the change, and it does not remove the old figure from the public record; it marks it as corrected and leaves the dated note in place. A reader who saw the wrong figure earlier will see that the figure has changed and will see the date of the change. The correction is dated because the desk wants a reader to know which figure was the right one at which hour.
The desk does not send a message back for every correction, but it reads every message and it checks every claim. If a reader writes to say a figure is wrong and the desk finds the figure is right, the desk will not change it. The desk will, however, look again at the source and at the multiplication, and it will be sure. If the desk cannot decide, it will say so. The desk is not afraid to say that it cannot verify a claim. The address on this page exists so that a reader can hold the desk to the measurement as it is defined, not to a promise the desk never made.
What this desk cannot answer
This desk cannot answer questions about what a reader should do with the figures. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. A message that asks whether to buy gold now, whether to sell, or whether to wait, will not get an answer. The desk does not give personal investment advice, and it does not help with a broker's account. If a reader has a question about an account with a broker, the reader should ask the broker. This site is not the broker, and the desk does not see the reader's account.
The desk also cannot answer questions about the broker's own site. This site links to one broker, FxPro, and the broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Following the link leaves this site. The desk does not run the broker's site, does not know a reader's account there, and cannot change anything about it. If a reader has a complaint about the broker, the desk cannot take it up. The desk can only say what it has already said on the page about the publisher: the reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker, and the site is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there.
What the desk earns and how it uses the address
The desk earns a commission from FxPro if a reader opens an account there through the link on this site. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the only money the site takes. The desk does not sell anything, does not take subscriptions, and does not run advertisements. The address on this page is not for sales, and the desk does not use it to send anything. The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser.
The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs. The site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them. A reader who writes to the address on this page gives the desk an email address, and the desk uses it only to answer the message. The desk does not keep a list, does not add the address to anything, and does not pass it on. The desk answers what it can, and it says plainly when it cannot. The address is the one way to reach the desk, and the desk reads it.
