Who publishes Tola Ledger
Tola Ledger is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. It publishes one measurement, taken from named public sources, and states plainly how it earns.
What this site measures
Tola Ledger republishes the 24 karat tola rate fixed by the Karachi Saraf Jewellers Association. Every other row below that rate is the same figure multiplied out, exactly as the sarafa itself does it. The desk does not add a margin, a forecast or an opinion. It does not say whether gold is cheap or dear. The page shows what the rate is at the hour it was read, and nothing more.
The sources are named under every table, with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. If the sarafa changes its rate, the table changes when the desk next reads it. The desk does not guess, and it does not average two sources. One measurement, one source, one time. That is all the table claims.
Why the hour is repeated
The rate is read from the sarafa's own publication, and the page states the date and the hour it was read. Gold prices move in Karachi through the day, and a figure without its hour is already stale. A reader who sees the table at noon and again at six is looking at two different facts. The hour makes that plain.
A reader should not treat a rate read in the morning as the evening's price. The desk cannot promise that the figure will stay unchanged, and it does not try. It only promises that the table shows what the source said at the moment the desk looked. That is the whole of the measurement.
What the desk is responsible for
Responsibility sits with the publication's editorial desk: Tola Ledger editorial team. The desk reads the sources, checks the multiplication, and answers a correction. It does not delegate the figure to a machine and it does not hide behind a form. If a row is wrong, the desk says so.
The desk is not the Karachi Saraf Jewellers Association, and it cannot change the association's rate. It only copies and multiplies. When the source publishes a new rate, the desk updates the table. When a reader points out a copying error, the desk corrects it and dates the correction. That is the limit of its authority.
Affiliate disclosure
The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the only way the site earns. There is no subscription, no donation button and no paid tier.
Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. Following the broker link leaves this site, and the broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy.
